FARNBOROUGH, England July 18 (Reuters) – The top of Qatar Airways confirmed on Monday {that a} provisional deal to purchase not less than 25 Boeing (BA.N) 737 MAX planes had lapsed however added the airline may broaden a separate order for bigger 777x jets.
Chief Govt Akbar Al Baker advised reporters on the Farnborough Airshow that the memorandum of understanding for 25 737 MAX airplanes and choices for 25 extra planes had expired, confirming a transfer that emerged in a courtroom dispute with Airbus earlier this month.
Qatar Airways may, nevertheless, improve its current agency order for the 777x widebody jet. “We may give them a bigger order.” Al Baker stated, declining to debate specifics of negotiations.
