A backcountry skier died in an avalanche Saturday within the Fish Creek drainage space east of Steamboat Springs.
The Routt County Sheriff’s Workplace was notified of the avalanche, which concerned two skiers, at about 12:20 p.m., the sheriff’s workplace stated in a information launch.
