Aug 25 (Reuters) – An interactive artwork set up that includes tons of of hundreds of balls, big slides, glittering disco balls and even falling snow has popped up in the midst of Manhattan.
Pop within the Metropolis, a 120-foot (37-m)-long bouncy home that pays homage to New York Metropolis, is a custom-built set up in Greeley Sq. Park, a brief stroll from such landmarks because the Empire State Constructing and Macy’s Herald Sq..
Guests enter by way of a slide that drops them into 500,000 translucent balls. As they stroll, slide or run by way of the inflated construction, they journey by way of zones the place salutes to such iconic New York symbols as a ‘ny,’ pizza and tall buildings, many represented by outsized inflatable artwork, are displayed.
A portion of the attraction salutes Seventies nightclub Studio 54, with 100 disco balls hanging from the ceiling and reside DJs, MCs and musicians. Within the ‘Winter within the Metropolis’ part, guests can play with actual snow alongside inflated snowmen.
