Sept 15 (Reuters) – Walt Disney Co (DIS.N) on Thursday pulled”Star Wars” film “Rogue Squadron” from subsequent yr’s movie schedule and gave no indication on when the corporate would launch a brand new film within the blockbuster area franchise.
The film would have been the primary “Star Wars” movie to achieve theaters since “The Rise of Skywalker” debuted in December 2019.
“Rogue Squadron” was set to be directed by “Marvel Lady” filmmaker Patty Jenkins. The film was beforehand delayed from 2022 to December 2023 resulting from scheduling conflicts with Jenkins.
The corporate didn’t instantly reply to a request for touch upon why the Jenkins’ movie was pulled from its upcoming slate.
Disney has launched a number of “Star Wars” TV reveals up to now few years on the Disney+ streaming service. Its subsequent collection, “Andor,” debuts on Wednesday.
