April 4 (Reuters) – Media mogul Rupert Murdoch and former San Francisco police chaplain Ann Lesley Smith have referred to as off their engagement, a supply confirmed on Tuesday.
The 92-year-old Fox Corp (FOXA.O) chairman and Smith had deliberate to marry this summer season. It could have been his fifth marriage.
Vainness Honest reported the breakup, citing one supply near Murdoch as saying he had grown uncomfortable with Smith’s outspoken evangelical views.
Murdoch and Smith, 66, met in September at his winery Moraga in Bel Air, California, and he referred to as her two weeks later, Murdoch advised Information Corp-owned New York Publish, which broke the information of the engagement.
Smith is a widow whose late husband was Chester Smith, a rustic singer, radio and TV govt.
On March 17 in New York, Murdoch introduced Smith with an Asscher-cut diamond solitaire ring, in line with the Publish.
“I used to be very nervous. I dreaded falling in love however I knew this could be my final. It higher be. I’m pleased,” Murdoch advised the Publish on the time.
