A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide and assault after he allegedly crashed into two women outside a Walden bowling alley, killing one and seriously injuring the other.
Steamboat Springs resident Carver Davis was named in the arrest warrant for the Sept. 21 crash that killed Borrero Azucena Del Pilar and seriously injured Molly Smith, both of whom were 18 years old, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Investigators claim Davis was driving his Chevy Silverado south on Main Street near Colorado 125 when he failed to negotiate a sharp curve, driving into the parking lot of The 10th Frame and hitting the two women. The women were standing outside of a vehicle, according to the state patrol.
Davis stayed at the scene, is cooperating with law enforcement and turned himself in to the Routt County Jail on Monday, agency officials said Thursday.
