LONDON, July 15 (Reuters) – Oscar successful actress Julianne Moore will head the primary competitors jury at this yr’s Venice Movie Competition, organisers stated on Friday.
Moore will likely be joined in deciding this yr’s winners by French director Audrey Diwan, who scooped the competition’s Golden Lion award final yr for her movie “Occurring”, Iranian actress Leila Hatami, Italian director Leonardo Di Costanzo and Nobel Prize successful creator Kazuo Ishiguro.
Argentine director and screenwriter Mariano Cohn and Spanish filmmaker Rodrigo Sorogoyen will full the worldwide jury, which assigns the competition’s predominant competitors awards, together with the Golden Lion.
The 79th version of the competition, held on the lagoon metropolis’s Lido island, will run from Aug. 31 to Sept. 10.
