Amazon filed a lawsuit in opposition to the leaders of over 10,000 Fb teams it accused of publishing faux critiques on the e-commerce website, the corporate introduced on Tuesday.

One of many teams within the lawsuit, which was eliminated by Meta, the guardian firm of Fb, had over 43,000 members, the corporate stated. The “incentivized and deceptive” critiques focused Amazon websites in the US, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Japan.
Amazon, which within the swimsuit described itself as a “pioneer of product critiques,” has handled bogus critiques for years. The corporate stated it had over 12,000 workers who labored to fight fraudulent critiques, together with these stemming from teams that coordinate their efforts on platforms like Fb and Twitter. Amazon stated it had reported over 10,000 faux evaluate teams to Meta.
