FRANKFURT, March 20 (Reuters) – Some 10,000 folks attended a live performance in solidarity with Ukraine in Berlin on Sunday, police mentioned, with the gang waving Ukrainian flags or holding banners with slogans opposing the Russian invasion.
Gathering close to the Brandenburg Gate, image of a divided Germany through the Chilly Struggle, many performers on the stage wore shades of blue and yellow, the colors of the flag. Musicians included Natalia Klitschko, a Ukrainian singer who’s married to the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko.
Jamala, a Ukrainian singer who gained the Eurovision Music Contest together with her music “1944” in 2016, was broadcast by way of videolink on an enormous display screen, telling attendees that “music is a peaceable power”.
“I believe if all of the musicians united it will be the strongest peace military on the earth,” she mentioned to the gang, listening below clear blue skies.
