Borussia Dortmund have confirmed their fourth signing of the present summer time switch window.
Turkey worldwide Salih Özcan, 24, will transfer to the Strobelallee from league rivals 1. FC Cologne.
Özcan, who had attracted curiosity from various Europe’s high groups, has signed a contract till 30 June 2026.
“Salih Özcan was one of many rising stars of this final Bundesliga season and made a key contribution to Cologne’s profitable season in central defensive midfield. He’s a participant who’s extremely robust within the deal with and the air,” stated BVB’s sporting director in ready Sebastian Kehl.

Salih Özcan stated: “1. FC Cologne are my hometown membership and I owe them an ideal deal. There are only a few golf equipment I’d’ve left my city for. Borussia Dortmund’s vitality, which one can actually really feel, plus the chance to play often within the Champions League, finally led me to my resolution.
Ozcan joins Niklas Süle (FC Bayern Munich), Nico Schlotterbeck (SC Freiburg) and Karim Adeyemi (RB Salzburg) by the doorway door at Dortmund as they put together for the 2022/23 season.
