Tim Feerick, the bass participant for the experimental rock band Dance Gavin Dance, died Wednesday.
The California band introduced the 34-year-old’s dying in a Thursday social media post.
“We’re completely devastated to share the information that our good friend and bass participant, Tim Feerick, handed away final evening,” the band stated in a press release.
“We ask that you simply respect our privateness and that of Tim’s household whereas we take care of this heartbreaking and premature loss.”
Feerick’s reason for dying was not disclosed.
The bassist first joined the Sacramento-based group in 2009 and performed on six albums, Billboard reported.
Followers paid tribute to Feerick and shared their anguish on the musician’s Instagram page.
“I’ll endlessly be heartbroken about your dying you introduced a lot pleasure to my life with the music. Relaxation in peace you stunning soul,” one wrote.
Dance Gavin Dance was set to depart on a 19-date nationwide tour later this month, in keeping with their web site.
The band, who combines components of punk, screamo and jazz fusion, has bought greater than 1,000,000 albums and been streamed greater than a billion instances on Spotify.
