Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and his bandmates made an emotional return to Los Angeles following the stunning demise of drummer, Taylor Hawkins, on tour in Colombia.
Grohl appeared visibly stricken Saturday as he embraced a person believed to be their supervisor, John Silva, after touching down within the US from Bogota.
He was joined by bandmates, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee, in addition to jazz singer Samantha Sidley.
Hawkins, 50, was discovered useless Friday in a lodge room on the 4 Seasons Casa Medina in Bogota.
There was no official trigger launched of his demise, though the band mentioned in an announcement Friday that his passing was a “tragic and premature loss.”
Prosecutors in Colombia launched an announcement Saturday saying toxicological checks on urine from Hawkins’ physique preliminarily discovered 10 psychoactive substances and medicines, together with marijuana, opioids, tricyclic antidepressants and benzodiazepines.
And stories emerged Sunday that the drummer died of cardiovascular collapse.
The Foo Fighters, which had been on tour in South America, had been set to play at a pageant in Bogota, Colombia, on Friday evening.
“His musical spirit and infectious laughter will dwell on with all of us ceaselessly,” the band mentioned on Twitter. “Our hearts exit to his spouse, youngsters and household.”
