LONDON, July 4 (Reuters) – EasyJet’s chief working officer (COO) has stepped down after the airline cancelled hundreds of flights this summer time to attempt to restrict the disruption brought on to passengers from workers shortages within the air and on the bottom.
Peter Bellew resigned on Friday to pursue different alternatives, the British low-cost service stated on Monday.
It has appointed David Morgan, who has been with the airline since 2016 together with operating operations in 2019, as interim COO, reporting on to Chief Govt Johan Lundgren.

“Everybody at easyJet stays completely centered on delivering a secure and dependable operation this summer time,” stated Lundgren, who thanked Bellew for his onerous work.
“David has important expertise and deep information of the enterprise and operation and can present sturdy management for the airline this summer time.”
Shares in EasyJet (EZJ.L), which have fallen again to the lows of March 2020 initially of the pandemic, had been buying and selling down 2.5% in early afternoon offers.
