CANNES, France, Could 25 (Reuters) – The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll died 45 years in the past, however Elvis fever was alive in Cannes on Wednesday as followers delighted at seeing an impersonator stroll down the resort metropolis’s famed promenade, La Croisette.
The Elvis lookalike, actual title Eryl Prayer, was on the town to have a good time the premiere of Baz Luhrmann’s biopic which premieres on Wednesday night time on the Cannes Movie Competition.
Followers of Elvis, a few of whom have been angling for a ticket for the movie, have been delighted to see Prayer singing within the streets of Cannes, stopping him for selfies and kissing him on the cheek.

Prayer mentioned he first listened to the “Jailhouse Rock” singer when he was in his teenagers and enjoys returning to his youth by the hitmaker.
“Due to Elvis and thru him, I deliver happiness to folks. The picture of Elvis withstands the check of time, it is spectacular,” he advised Reuters as he ambled by the French Riviera city.
Lurmann’s movie, a high pageant draw, stars Austin Butler because the titular “Elvis” and Tom Hanks as Presley’s enigmatic supervisor, Colonel Tom Parker.
Talking to 1 superfan, Prayer mentioned he was glad the movie was made as a result of it’ll deliver Elvis and his music to youthful generations.
