French International Affairs Minister Catherine Colonna will meet Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Kyiv in a while Monday to precise France’s solidarity with Ukraine and provide extra help for the nation, stated the French overseas affairs ministry.
Colonna’s journey to Ukraine comes amid criticism from some diplomats and political analysts that France is just not doing sufficient to help Ukraine in its combat with Russia.
European Union leaders may also meet on Monday to reiterate help for Ukraine as Russian forces intensified assaults to seize Sievierodonetsk, a key metropolis within the southeastern Donbas area that Moscow has prioritised taking full management over.
