HONG KONG, June 22 (Reuters) – Hong Kong’s new Palace Museum, a present from Beijing to marks twenty fifth anniversary of the territory’s return to Chinese language rule, goals to interact town’s youthful era with Chinese language tradition, its director mentioned on Wednesday.

“We have to promote the transmission and dissemination of Chinese language tradition,” museum director Louis Ng mentioned forward of the museum’s opening on July 2, a day after Hong Kong marks the anniversary of its handover from British to Chinese language rule. “Particularly for younger folks, we have to give them extra alternatives to grasp and admire Chinese language tradition.”

The museum sparked controversy when plans have been unveiled in 2016, with critics saying there was an absence of transparency over the multibillion-dollar challenge and that it was offered as a executed deal with out public session.
