LOS ANGELES, March 29 (Reuters) – Jada Pinkett Smith promoted therapeutic in an Instagram publish on Tuesday, her first public remark since her husband slapped comic Chris Rock at this 12 months’s Academy Awards ceremony.
Will Smith unexpectedly strode onto the Oscars stage on Sunday and slapped Rock within the face in response to a joke about his spouse’s bald head. Pinkett Smith, an actor and speak present host, has a medical situation that causes hair loss.
In an Instagram publish on Tuesday, Pinkett Smith mentioned:
“This can be a season for therapeutic. And I am right here for it.”
She didn’t point out Rock’s joke or the slapping incident particularly.

Lower than an hour after the assault on Rock, Smith was named greatest actor for his portrayal of the daddy of tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams in “King Richard.”
The 9,900-member Academy of Movement Image Arts and Sciences condemned Smith’s actions on Monday and mentioned it was reviewing the matter.
If the group determines Smith violated its requirements of conduct, members may expel the actor from the group, revoke his Oscar, or make him ineligible for future awards.
Rock has not publicly commented concerning the incident.
