TOKYO, Aug 15 (Reuters) – Japan’s financial system expanded an annualised 2.2% within the April-June interval to mark the third straight quarter of enlargement on strong personal consumption, authorities information confirmed on Monday.
The rise in gross home product (GDP) was slower than a median market forecast for a 2.5% enlargement. It translated into quarterly progress of 0.5% in opposition to market forecasts for a 0.6% rise.
Personal consumption rose 1.1% within the April-June interval from the earlier quarter, in contrast with a median market forecast for a 1.3% enhance, the information confirmed.
