Jennifer Hudson earned her EGOT on Sunday on the 2022 Tony Awards when she gained for “A Unusual Loop,” becoming a member of the ranks of the choose few who’ve gotten all prestigious efficiency awards.
Hudson, 40, joins the unique listing of 16 different winners together with the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Alan Menken, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Whoopi Goldberg, who all gained awards on the Emmys, Grammys, Oscars and Tonys.
The distinguished title was given to Hudson as a producer for the Tony Award-winning musical “A Unusual Loop,” which gained Greatest Musical on Sunday.
Hudson’s path to an EGOT started in 2007 when she gained an Academy Award for her position in “Dreamgirls” and later acquired a Grammy award in 2009 for her efficiency in “The Colour Purple.”
Additionally in 2009, Hudson gained the Emmy for an animated collection known as “Child Yaga.”
