Jif peanut butter merchandise manufactured at a Kentucky facility have been recalled after an outbreak of salmonella was found.
J.M. Smucker Firm voluntarily recalled the peanut butter, together with merchandise with lot code numbers between 1274425 – 2140425, provided that the primary seven digits finish with 425. The outbreak is traced again to a Smucker facility in Lexington, Ky.

Jif merchandise have a shelf lifetime of two years, the Meals and Drug Administration mentioned, warning shoppers that they need to test all Jif merchandise of their possession.
Instances of salmonellosis linked to Jif merchandise have been found in a number of states.
The FDA recommends that if you happen to discover recalled Jif merchandise in your house, it is best to wash and sanitize any surfaces or utensils that would have touched the peanut butter. When you have consumed the affected peanut butter and have signs of salmonellosis, the FDA recommends contacting a healthcare supplier.
The Facilities for Illness Management and Prevention and the FDA are investigating the outbreak.
