MEXICO CITY, April 16 (Reuters) – Mexican state oil firm Pemex stated on Saturday that it had introduced below management a fireplace at its Salina Cruz refinery within the southern Oaxaca state with none accidents to personnel.
The fireplace, which began on Friday, had engulfed a gasoline storage tank, sending a dense plume of black smoke billowing from contained in the refinery.
Pemex stated firefighters had “concluded the work of suffocation and cooling” of the tank.
In August, the Salina Cruz refinery was hit by one other hearth.
Salina Cruz has the capability to course of 330,000 barrels per day of crude oil, based on knowledge from Eikon Refinitiv.
In November, one other hearth broke out at a Pemex refinery advanced in northern Mexico nevertheless it was introduced below management with none accidents to employees or disruption to manufacturing.
