Critics called out Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for appearing naked while his wife, Cheryl Hines, promoted her beauty products on Instagram.
Over the weekend, the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” alum showed off her Hines+Young line to viewers as the politician hopped in the shower directly behind her.
“You can’t take a shower. I’m doing a video,” she told her husband while laughing. “No, no, no, I’m doing a … you’ve gotta give me a second. I’m doing a video for Hines+Young. Honey … 60% off.”
Hines’ head and upper body covered her naked husband, who appeared to be shampooing his hair and scrubbing his body.
Several people thought Kennedy’s stunt was “cringe” — especially after he was nominated by Donald Trump to lead the Health and Human Services Department.
“Cheryl. This is cringe … No one wants to see RFK Jr naked. Oh wait! Besides that journalist he was sexting while he was with you,” one person wrote on X, referring to Kennedy’s recent sexting affair with Oliva Nuzzi.
“repulsive in every [possible] way,” a second person commented, as another wrote, “I hate this.”
“This manages to be weird and strangely endearing,” a fourth netizen added.
Others, however, didn’t appear to mind the interaction, with one person chiming in, “They’re a cute couple, and she’s hilarious.”
“It’s called having fun … I laughed because it is exactly what my husband would do if I was try (sic) to take a video,” a second supporter wrote, as a third added, “cuteness.”
Hines, 59, and Kennedy, 70, appear to be on good terms following news of his bombshell relationship with Nuzzi, a former reporter with New York Magazine.
In September, the 31-year-old political journalist admitted to her relationship with Kennedy after he allegedly bragged about “intimate” photos she sent him.
While Hines was temporarily spotted without her wedding ring amid the scandal coming to light, she later spoke about moving past “crazy” times with Kennedy during an interview with Us Weekly in October.
The couple was also photographed holding hands while attending his mom’s funeral in Washington, DC, on Oct. 16.
The two tied the knot in 2014 and share kids from different relationships.
