The northbound lanes of Interstate 25 on the southside of Fortress Rock have been shut down for about an hour on Friday morning as a part of a deadly auto-pedestrian crash investigation.
The stretch was closed at 10 a.m. and totally reopened at about 11:15 a.m., stated Grasp Trooper Gary Cutler of the Colorado State Patrol.
A girl was hit by three automobiles within the northbound lanes of I-25 at about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday. She died on the scene.
A preliminary investigation is discovering the pedestrian at fault within the incident, Cutler stated. As a part of the continuing investigation a drone was used over the stretch of freeway on Friday morning, and it couldn’t be executed, by regulation, with out shutting down the lanes under to visitors.
Site visitors was detoured through the Friday morning closure of the freeway stretch.
