A stabbing at the Salvation Army Crossroads Center in Denver’s RiNo district left one person wounded Thursday night, according to police.
Officers responded to the stabbing shortly after 7 p.m. The incident was still being investigated Friday morning, a Denver police spokesperson wrote in an email.
The victim is expected to survive. Police were not able to say whether a suspect had been identified or arrested or whether the victim and suspect were shelter clients.
Salvation Army representatives did not immediately reply to questions about security measures at the shelter, though the shelter’s website says clients must comply with a “bed agreement” to use the facility.
