Police investigating Ronaldo’s bust-up incident with Everton fan

Merseyside police are investigating an incident wherein Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly assaulted a younger Everton fan after the match between Everton and Manchester United on Saturday night. 

In a footage shared on social media after the match alongside feedback, Ronaldo broke the fan’s telephone throughout an indignant confrontation.  

An announcement from the police on Sunday learn; 

“As gamers have been leaving the pitch at 2.30 pm, it was reported {that a} boy was assaulted by one of many away group as they left the pitch.

“Inquiries are underway and officers are at present working with Everton to evaluation CCTV footage and are finishing up intensive witness inquiries to ascertain if an offence has taken place.

The Portuguese star has since apologised to the fan by his social media;
