A Republican congressman is dropping his bid for reelection after backlash from his personal get together over his stance on stronger gun regulation.
Rep. Chris Jacobs (R-N.Y.) stated he would help a ban on the AR-15 semi-automatic rifle following the white supremacist mass capturing in Buffalo final month that left 10 folks lifeless and the college capturing in Uvalde, Texas, through which a gunman killed 21 folks.
“If an assault weapons ban invoice got here to the ground that will ban one thing like an AR-15, I’d vote for it,” Jacobs instructed reporters final week.
