Derby coach Wayne Rooney has vowed to stay with the membership regardless of being relegated to League One.
Derby had been axed from the Championship following Studying’s exceptional comeback victory over Swansea. The Rams failed to beat a 21-point deduction for falling into administration.
“We have been relegated, however I’ve by no means seen a staff get relegated and [get] the response of the followers,” Rooney informed Sky Sports activities after the ultimate whistle.
“I assumed it was unbelievable, the help the followers gave the lads all season. After all, [I’m] dissatisfied, unhappy, upset – however [I’m] proud.”
“In some methods, we will draw a line beneath what’s occurred and actually begin the rebirth of this membership and attempt to transfer ahead.”
“I wish to rebuild the membership. You see what it means to the followers each week, it is a particular membership, a giant membership and we’re all proud to be right here. I wish to be the one to convey the completely happy days again.”
