Sept 14 (Reuters) – Samsung Electronics Co Ltd (005930.KS) expects to return to the Russian market this 12 months, six months after suspending shipments within the wake of the invasion of Ukraine, Russia’s Izvestia newspaper stated on Wednesday.
Izvestia cited a supply near the corporate as saying gross sales might begin in October. The supply stated Samsung would resume provides of apparatus to retailers and restart its official on-line retailer.
Samsung froze shipments in early March citing “present geopolitical developments.” The agency was the main provider of handsets to Russia as of the fourth quarter of 2021, accounting for 30% of the market. learn extra
