LAUSANNE, Sept 14 (Reuters) – Swiss officers on Wednesday unveiled a bust of Thailand’s late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who died in 2016 on the age of 88, on the Thai pavilion in a park overlooking Lake Geneva in Lausanne in western Switzerland.
The bust is a present from an alumni affiliation of Thai college students in Switzerland to honour the reminiscence of the late king who studied and lived within the canton of Vaud and “helped set up pleasant hyperlinks between the peoples of Switzerland and Thailand”, cantonal authorities mentioned.
The late king’s daughter was current on the ceremony.
