U.S. library exhibit shows ‘glimpse of humanity’ in lost items in books

OAKLAND, Calif., Sept 2 (Reuters) – Pictures, to-do lists, airplane tickets and quirky drawings by kids are a part of hundreds of misplaced and forgotten objects in library books fastidiously collected for years by a librarian in California.

The objects are actually a part of a set referred to as “Present in a Library E book” on the Oakland Public Library, whose most important downtown department show instances function post-it notes, playing cards, drawings and bookmarks.

Among the many objects are a ticket to an Oakland Athletics baseball sport on April 25, 2013 and a ticket to a Heineken beer-related occasion dated Nov. 19, 2002.
