A wildfire is burning in Ouray County on Sims Mesa.
Firefighters are on scene and the general public is urged to steer clear of the hearth space. Residents within the space of Sims Mesa Street, Authorities Springs Street and Wild Cat Canyon are underneath an evacuation order, in response to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Workplace.

The hearth is burning alongside the border of Ouray and Montrose counties. The evacuation space is a few 5-mile radius. The hearth was releasing a big column of smoke on Thursday.
Grand Mesa Uncompahgre and Gunnison Nationwide Forest officers deliberate earlier this week to conduct a prescribed burn within the space.
