A wildfire broke out Saturday in Conejos County, about 7 miles northwest of Fox Creek.
The Menkhaven fireplace has burned about 20 acres within the Rio Grande Nationwide Forest, in accordance with the USDA Forest Service. Colorado 17 has been shut down about 9 miles south of Antonito to Cumbres Move.

A purple flag warning for essential fireplace hazard was posted for the realm by the Nationwide Climate Service on Saturday.
